EventKeeper : Tell a Friend
Middle Period Beethoven-Talk by Robert Oaken

Wednesday April 24, 2019
6:30 PM until 8:00 PM

Beethoven is widely acknowledged as a towering genius among composers of Classical music.  In spite of his gradual loss of hearing, which began in his late 20's, he continued to write music of the very highest quality.  In this four-part course (a continuation of this past Spring's "Early Beethoven") we will focus on how his tragic deafness seems to have shaped the works written during his middle period.

A retired Clinical Psychologist, Robert Oakan has taught Classical music history courses for many years at Northwestern Connecticut Community College, as well as at the Westborough and Shrewsbury libraries. Registration required.
