THE BATTLE OF THE ALAMO: TEXANS UNDER SIEGE is Stratford author Steve Otfinoski’s eighth book in the Tangled History series. It tells the story of this battle for Texas independence in a compelling moment-to-moment narrative, through the eyes of participants on both sides, including Jim Bowie, Davy Crockett and Mexican general Santa Anna. It dispels many of the myths about the Alamo and proves that fact is indeed stranger than fiction. The reading and book signing takes place on the eve of the 183rd anniversary of the Alamo’s fall.
Steve Otfinoski has written more than 200 books for young readers. He is the author most recently of the A Step into History series for Scholastic and has written ten volumes in Capstone Press’s Tangled History series.
