Science Experiment: Static Electricity!
Tuesday, July 14 at 10:30am on zoom
(Grade 2 & up with a parent)
Spark your interest in science with Suffield High science teacher, Joe Grimard as we learn about static electricity! Why does the balloon stick to your hair? Why does the cereal float?! Mr. Grimard will give us a demonstration, you get to try the experiment, and we'll talk about the science behind it all. The library will provide some of the supplies, available through curbside pick-up. This zoom program will be 30-45 minutes. Thank you for donating your time, Mr. Grimard! Supplies sponsored by the Friends of Kent Memorial Library.
Supplies: you will need an empty dry can, or empty dry plastic bottle, salt, sugar, balloons, and Rice Krispies or other light-weight cereal
