Live Online: Falls Prevention and Stress Management for the Aging Adult

Tufts Medical Center logoEveryone is welcome and encouraged to attend any of all of the sessions in this four-part program that teaches and empowers aging adults and those who care for them with skills and ideas that decrease falls and increase independence. This evidence-informed program will discuss practical and proven exercises that promote a health and well-being. Each 90-minute session will build upon the previous one(s) to deepen your aging strong experience, but you can attend any or all, depending upon your availability. They will be recorded for later viewing and sharing and made available on the library's YouTube channel.

Join Debbie Lyn Toomey, RN, coordinator of the Tufts Medical Center’s Injury Prevention Program, for this engaging and valuable program.

  • September 22 - Learn exercises that strengthen the body.
  • September 29 - Learn skills that help with coordination, memory, and stress reduction.
  • October 6 - Learn communication skills that build confidence when talking with medical specialists.
  • October 13 - Learn to combine new skills to create a practical plan to age stronger.

You may also view the program live on our YouTube channel and on our Facebook page. If you're new to Zoom, we recommend you install it and try it out beforehand (more than a few minutes before the program). If you're having trouble with it, ask us for help during our Help Desk hours.
