Vic Butsch and Tommy Coletti, authors of "In the Crossfire Between Heaven and Hell", will visit the library for a book signing and multimedia presentation to discuss their historical fiction novel featuring Terryville native Dorence Atwater and Clara Barton. This work is based on a true series of events. Dorence Atwater served with the Union Army during the Civil War, was captured by secessionists, imprisoned in 9 Confederate prisons, including Andersonville, and survived. Clara Barton becomes acquainted with Dorence and each helps the other become distinguished in American History. Butsch and Coletti will share more information about their book and research on these two magnificent individuals who witnessed the worst of human suffering and helped heal a grateful nation.
