Event:	Schmoozing with Sophie Tucker Saturday March 23, 2013 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Thayer Public Library will host Schmoozing with Sophie Tucker. Braintree residents will experience story-telling at its best with Linda Myer as Sophia Tucker, who shares her poignant memories of her struggles to achieve the American dream in 1928. Sophie Tucker, the last of the red-hot mamas, will keep you laughing with tales of climbing the show business ladder from the crowded tenements of Boston's North End to Hollywood. This event is a part of the library's One Braintree, One Book program. This year's book is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The goal of this program is to encourage the community to read the same book and share in discussions about the book's themes and to enjoy programming that helps bring the book to life!
