Yoga for High-schoolers

6:00 PM until 7:00 PM
These classes will teach teens to draw attention to the breath as a tool, to elicit relaxation, focus, and presence. Linking this breath with movement, seated and standing poses will build on strength of muscles and bones, flexibility, and improved posture and balance.
Students will learn how to modify poses during bodywork, cultivating body awareness and mindfulness. Each class ends with guided relaxation, with reflection on Acceptance and Gratitude.
Teenagers should dress comfortably, and bring a water bottle and their own yoga mat. Yoga blocks will be provided.
No class on July 4.
Instructor Carin Duteau completed her 200 hour Fluid yoga teacher training in May 2016. She teaches private yoga lessons, community yoga classes in Groton, and has taught yoga for the Groton/Dunstable Continuing Ed program. In addition, Carin is a trained instructor for "Bodhi & Mind Yoga" providing one-on-one yoga and meditation practice to women with breast cancer www.bodhiandmindyoga.org
