Being Mortal - Book Study GroupTuesday December 4, 2018
7:00 PM until 8:00 PM
Kathy Benson, LICSW at Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice will lead a book discussion on "Being Mortal" by Atul Gawande.
Dr. Gawande offers a timely account of how modern Americans cope with decline and mortality. Rather than simply inform patients about their options or tell them what to do, some doctors, including the author, are involving the senior and honoring THEIR wishes regarding life choices.
Being Mortal is a sensitive, intelligent and heartfelt examination of the processes of aging and dying.
Preparation is to read (or listen to) the book but please come whether you had a chance to read/finish the book.
