Saturday Concert: VML Cultural Series

The Kareem Sanjaghi Band will perform songs from the Great American Songbook including jazz, Latin, and swing standards. This concert is supported in part by a grant from the Marshfield Cultural Coundil, which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council. Kareem has been playing drums for 20 years and spent 10 years performing with the late jazz trumpet legend, Lou Colombo. The Band has performed at venues all over New England and is looking forward to its debut at Ventress Library!  Free and open to the public; no tickets required.

Bio: Kareem Sanjaghi began his professional career in 2002 with his grandfather, pianist Bob Hayes, and jazz trumpeter Lou Colombo with whom he performed for 10 years.  Sanjaghi is equally adept in jazz and rock settings and has made a name for himself with his energetic drumming and impeccable time.  In September 2014, Kareem performed with vocalist Tony Orlando.  Currently Kareem leads his own group, the Kareem Sanjaghi Band, and also performs with The Wicked Trio & Bert Jackson Quartet.
