The Pilates Exercise principles were designed by Joseph Pilates 100 years ago to improve muscle strength and flexibility without building bulk. The Pilates Method is built on six principles: concentration, control, center, fluidity, precision, and breath. The movements are smooth leaving one refreshed and not exhausted. Pilates strengthens and stretches muscles with a focus on balance and core strength. This FREE class will be designed for beginners; no Pilates experience required. Register for one, a few, or all four Saturday afternoon PIlates sessions.
The instructor, Shannon McConnell, is a certified Pilates Mat instructor with the Exercise Safety Association and has been teaching classes for 10 years.
