Michael Eck: Library Songs

Wednesday December 18, 2019
7:00 PM until 8:00 PM

An evening of original compositions developed as part of the Reading Music series at Albany Public Library, including songs based on the work of Raymond Carver, John Steinbeck, Michael Ondaatje, Carson McCullers and abstracts of actual Albany County crimes of the past.

Roots scholar and multi-instrumentalist Michael Eck has four solo albums to his credit and is known for his work in the folk world with Lost Radio Rounders, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Berkshire Ramblers and others. At VPL, he will be accompanied—bookended if you will—by bassist Bob Buckley and mandolinist/guitarist Sten Isachsen.
