The Capital Region Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union will join Voorheesville Public Library to celebrate our constitutional right to read what we want during National Banned Books Week. A Virtual “Read Out” will feature regional notables—actors, writers, politicians, poets, and activists of all types—reading from their favorite books that have, at one time or another, been banned or challenged in the United States. This is a virtual event for adults and high school teens. Please register to receive the link to attend.
High school students who attend online will earn 1.5 hours of Community Service credit. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
