Wabi Sabi is a way of thinking about the world and art making that originated in 13th century Japan. It emphasizes the value of the incomplete, imperfect, and natural world. Participants will learn the practice of meditative drawing and haiku poetry. Meditative drawing improves our skills as illustrators AND has the added beneﬁt of soothing anxiety. Haiku teaches observational skills and is a playful form of poetry.
Materials needed: black pen, pencil and paper.
