Event:	ROBERT PINSKY kicks off Wayland Reads Poetry Sunday March 24, 2013 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM Distinguished poet Robert Pinsky has done us the great honor of kicking off the public events for Wayland Reads Poetry. Come hear this renowned poet read some of his favorite poems. Pinsky's long list of honors include an American Academy of Arts and Letters award, both the William Carlos Williams Award and the Shelley Memorial prize from the Poetry Society of America, the PEN/Voelcker Award for Poetry, and a Guggenheim Foundation fellowship. He is currently poetry editor of the weekly Internet magazine Slate. His first two terms as United States Poet Laureate were marked by such visible dynamism, and such national enthusiasm in response, that the Library of Congress appointed him to an unprecedented third term. His tenure was marked by ambitious efforts to prove the power of poetry as a meaningful and integral part of American life.
