“VERDI’S RIGOLETTO: A GUIDED TOUR
"
Rigoletto is one of Giuseppe Verdi's most popular operas, with memorable arias for baritone (Rigoletto), soprano (his daughter Gilda), and tenor (the amoral Duke), as well as one of the best-loved quartets in the opera repertory. Phil Radoff will walk us through this Verdi masterpiece in advance of the Metropolitan Opera’s new production in high definition at many theaters in Metrowest.
Phil is a retired lawyer with a lifelong interest in opera. He regularly offers opera courses at the Brandeis Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (BOLLI) and gave a well-received talk on Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Wayland and Framingham libraries last year.
