David Hirzel: "NORWEGIAN WOOD: THE BEAUTY OF LOG CONSTRUCTION OVER 800 YEARS"
In 1963-64, as a Fulbright student at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim, David extensively studied Norwegian Farm Buildings and Stave Churches dating from 1050 to the 1800s. Using photographs, plans, details and diagrams, he will explain these most beautiful and interesting architectural structures, including siting and construction perspectives.
David studied architecture at Washington State University and is a land planner with over 40 years of experience working at Sasaki Associates, Inc. in Watertown.
