American Sign Language for Beginners

Our "ASL Basics" for Libraries are signs anyone can perform.  We will teach you how to sign basic phrases such as, “Hello, I name____ I” to introduce yourself, and incorporates vocabulary building.  Additionally, participants will learn:

  • The ASL Manual Alphabet 
  • Numbers 1-10 
  • Days of the Week 
  • Foods and Snacks 
  • ASL Negations and Affirmations
  • Basic ASL Sentence Structure that put together the signs participants learn during the class

This course is taught in 4 -45 Minutes Zoom sessions. and allows up to 20 participants.  The handouts are included and incorporates a video of the Vocabulary learned during the live class. The recurring Zoom link is sent to the participants on the day of the first class, as well as the agenda.  Please register to reserve your spot!
