Two speakers from the Faces of Homelessness Speakers Bureau will share their first-hand experiences with homelessness. Learn about homelessness in Connecticut and the ways you can get involved.
The Faces of Homelessness Speakers’ Bureau is a public education program that works to promote advocacy, understanding, and service. The Bureau travels to diverse audiences across Connecticut where Speakers share their firsthand experiences with homelessness, emphasizing what it’s like to be homeless and the causes of homelessness. The Bureau strives to break the stigma surrounding these issues and encourage others to get involved. Speakers are driven to expose the truths of homelessness in an effort to educate, empower, involve, and make change.
Faces of Homelessness is a program of Hands On Hartford, a social service nonprofit organization that serves Hartford’s neediest residents in the areas of food, housing, and health.
