This month’s selection is Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice. Moon of the Crusted Snow is a story about a small northern Anishinaabe community that is cut off from power at the beginning of winter. The winter months pass slowly and food supple dwindles, but the greatest threat to survival comes from within the community itself.
