Kids in grades 3 and up are invited to join us in the Whitehall community room at 5:30 PM for a Maker Monday! A makerspace is a place where you can make things, and kids will be able to keep what they make. It's a place for hands-on learning with all the tools for creativity. Every month will have a different theme and different tools for the kids to use. Examples include robotics, 3D pens, circuits, and more! Projects will be hands-on, open-ended and encourage inventiveness and problem-solving skills.
This month we will use 3D pens to design an optimal hockey stick and then test the hockey sticks to see which one can shoot a puck the farthest and with the most accuracy through a goal.
