Join us at the Central Branch for a speed friending event. Participants will spend several minutes chatting with each person and then complete a match card to identify those with whom they would like to chat further and become new ‘pals.’ Library staff will provide contact information to those participants who form a match. Participants are encouraged to bring a favourite book as a point of conversation, and we'll provide other conversation starters to ensure the five-minute sessions move along smoothly.
Your privacy is important to us, so each participant will be given an "alias" which they can use at the event in lieu of their real name. Contact information and real names will only be shared with matches with the consent of the participants.
Participants are asked to pre-register (call or email). This event is capped at 20 participants.
