Intended for librarians and support staff in Interlibrary Loan and Reference, this hands-on computer lab will provide a step-by-step introduction to the databases and an overview of the variety of electronic resources available to you and your patrons. We'll review tips on basic searching, and techniques for the Advanced Search. You'll acquire the knowledge and self-confidence to help your patrons find full text resources to meet their information needs. There will be ample time for questions and free time to practice in the lab.
This program meets the requirement for database training for librarians taking the Fall 2009 Basic Library Techniques in Reference.
