Cancelled - Children’s Roundtable: Reach Out and Read!

-Reach Out and Read (ROR) is a national, non-profit organization that promotes early literacy by making books a routine part of pediatric care. This workshop will feature a presentation by Western Massachusetts Regional Reach Out and Read Coordinator, Lee MacKinnon, Ed.M., who will share how ROR has grown with support of the passionate and inspired efforts of librarians and educators. There will be time for discussion and brainstorming about how libraries and medical practices can work together to support reading to young children. This roundtable concludes with a visit to the Springfield City Library’s Children’s & Teen Book Review Center where participants can inspect new and prepublication book titles.
