CAROL COHEN presents ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

* Admission Free — All are Welcome *

Join Carol Cohen, local author and historian, for a look into the life of Eleanor Roosevelt, both personally and professionally though the lens of her possessions and the friendships she had with well-known people of her time. The presentation will be part portrayal, where you will briefly “meet“ Eleanor Roosevelt at her home in Val-Kill, where she lived after the death of her husband, President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It will be part Power Point, where you will be introduced to Eleanor Roosevelt, the Human Rights activist, and part participation while you take part in “inspecting” primary sources that were very much a part of Eleanor Roosevelt’s personal and professional life. Carol Cohen is a member of the faculty of Lesley University Graduate School of Education where she teaches Social Studies Methods and Practicum Seminar. She is working on a book called “Begin with a Box."
