A Master Singers Christmas
Sunday December 10, 2017
On Sunday December 10 at 4:00 pm The Master Singers of Lexington will sing in the holiday season with its annual Christmas concert. Written as a companion to Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, Conrad Susa’s Carols and Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest is based on a collection of traditional Spanish childrens’ carols. The chorus will perform it with harp, marimba, and guitar. Shepherds and Angels by Lexington composer Pamela Marshall will also be on the program. Marshall has incorporated little known Appalachian, New England, and Southern Harmony carols in her work, which the Master Singers premiered in 2011. The concert concludes with four familiar Christmas carols, and a festive reception follows. Follen Church is accessible with free parking. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Discounts are available to subscribers and Greater Boston Choral Consortium members and from members of the chorus. For information and directions see www.themastersingers.org or call 781-275-1478.
Location: Follen Community Church, 755 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington
