Lexington Goes Purple
Saturday June 9, 2018
9:00 AM until 5:00 PM
This year, the Lexington Goes Purple team will run a variety of Longest Day activities on Saturday June 9th in downtown Lexington to raise awareness and honor those living with Alzheimer’s disease and those who have experienced firsthand the impacts of the disease. The Longest Day is a tribute to caregivers and those facing Alzheimer’s. June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, and on or around the summer solstice--the longest day of the year--businesses, towns, teams, and individuals all over the country are coming together to help end Alzheimer’s. We will raise funds and awareness for care and support programs while advancing research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
Location: Depot Square
