Lost in Shangri-La by Mitchell Zuckoff is a survival story from the Pacific Theater during the closing days of World War II. The book chronicles the harrowing adventures of the survivors of a 1945 plane crash in what was then Dutch New Guinea. This book is the 2017 selection for Abington Reads, our "One Book, One Town" community reading event. Author Mitchell Zuckoff will speak about the book at the Abington Public Library on Monday March 27. All are welcome to join Library Director Deb Grimmett for this conversation in advance of the author's visit; registration is not necessary. Books to be discussed may be reserved at the Library.
