Sewing 101

Sewing expert Jennifer Serr teaches students to create a simple drawstring pouch while they learn the basics of the sewing machine, including
- threading the machine,
- making a bobbin,
- sewing straight and curved lines.
Jennifer will also teach the tools, terminology & mechanics of using a paper pattern. All materials and equipment will be supplied. However, if you own a portable sewing machine, please let us know if you can bring it to learn most effectively.
Registration is required. Class is limited to 12 students. To sign up, email Barbara Telford-Ishida at btelford-ishida@aclibrary.org.
This workshop is for adults (18+ years). Teens will be admitted only if fewer than 12 adults enroll. Interested teens should ask to be placed on the waiting list.
