Bugs and Insects with Pittsburgh Park Rangers
Tuesday August 8, 2017
1:30 PM until 2:30 PM
Park Rangers will teach students about bugs and insects that can be found in the local environment. Students will learn why insects are important and what roles they play in our ecosystem. Students will examine a collection of specimens, and when appropriate, go into the field and collect and identify species. Collection methods will depend on age, but can include log-flipping, sweep netting or checking previously placed live traps. Perfect for kids ages 6 and up!
