Ring Mountain Grassland Restoration Project
Saturday July 26, 2014
10:00 AM until 1:00 PM
Join us for our monthly drop-in volunteer workday as we focus on restoring the grasslands of Ring Mountain! Ring Mountain is home to numerous rare and endangered plant species, but this habitat is being threatened by invasive species. This month we will be working in Ring Mountain’s freshwater marsh, removing highly invasive tall fescue plants. Come out and help to preserve marshland – one of the most threatened habitat types in the San Francisco Bay! Work will be moderately strenuous. Drop-in days are held on the last Saturday of every month (except November and December) from 10am to 1pm. Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. Questions: Contact Ring Mountain Stewardship Coordinator Sarah Minnick at (415) 473-5058 or SMinnick@marincounty.org.
