Is it Really Dementia? Understanding Alzheimer’s disease and other Related Disorders Maybe it could be something else other than dementia. That’s what you want to believe or tell yourself. When an older person begins to ask the same questions over and over, forget appointments, loose their keys or wallet, see things that aren’t there, lose their way on familiar street families hope it’s not dementia. Dementia tends to develop slowly; family members often notice the subtle cognitive decline for years. But at the time you thought it was normal aging. Come discuss and get some questions answered.
