Science in the Summer

Tuesday through Friday (June 20-23) Science Fun for children entering 2nd and 3rd grades. Must be able to attend all four days. In person registration required as parent or guardian must sign forms. Maximum of 20 children.This is a free hands-on experience made available by Glaxo Smith Kline and Carnegie Science Center. Each day, for 1 hour student scientists will experiment with the Science of Sports and bring home in many fun ways to keep learning going. These sessions will highlight the relationship between Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry and Materials Science as well as the use of technology in support of a successful athlete. At the end of this week participants will understand how a future STEM career in athletics can relate to their lives today.
