Thursday January 22, 2015
9:30 AM until 11:30 AM
The NYS STEM Program Work Team at Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H has offered STEM Science Curricular Activities in partnership with the NYS Public Library Summer Reading Program each year since 2013. Each year, 3-4 Library Systems have been targeted for hands on training and assistance in forming partnerships with local 4-H staff and/or youth. The Fingerlakes Library System is on of this year’s pilot systems. Bonnie Peck, Coordinator of the NYS 4-H STEM Library Partnership will present a workshop on this year’s Program “Every STEM Hero Has A Story” that connects 4 books with STEM activities for an audience of youth grades K-2. Bonnie Peck has been an Extension Resource Educator in the Capital District for over 26 years and is in her second year coordinating this statewide project.
