1:00 PM until 4:00 PM
Senator Phillips and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America to Hold Free Memory Screening Program at the Great Neck Library.
Senator Elaine Phillips and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) will be sponsoring a free memory screening program on Tuesday, July 18th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Great Neck Library (159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck).
Screenings consist of a series of questions to gauge memory, language and thinking skills. The memory screening takes approximately 10 minutes and is confidential. Participants will be provided with the results on-site. Results are not a diagnosis, but a memory screening can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.
The program is free of charge and open to everyone, however appointments are required and will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
Residents who live in the 7th Senate District wishing to get a free memory screening on July 18th can schedule an appointment by calling Senator Phillips’ office at 516-746-5924.
Location: Large Multipurpose Room 34,, Main Library
