Want to stimulate your mind with continued growth, learning, and creativity? Make new lively minded friends? Turn away from your screens to re-engage with people, ideas, and issues? In this multi-media, participatory presentation, you’ll learn how you can move from small talk to Big Talk, in order to explore more meaningful topics with more diverse companions.
You’ll be welcomed into the grand tradition of salons stretching from Gertrude Stein in Paris to the Harlem Renaissance, and invited to join the current revival of Conversation throughout New York City, via an online calendar offering over 1,000 conversations a year including quarterly Conversation Days with trans-Atlantic partners -- all free.
Ron has hosted the Socrates Salon at the Library for 25 years, and is the founder of Conversations New York. He is the leading champion of conversation as our most powerful, enjoyable, and readily-available way to stimulate our thinking, enhance our social life, and strengthen our communities.
