Sketching Natural Objects
Saturday May 13, 2017
10:30 AM until 12:30 PM
Henry David Thoreau was a keen observer of the natural world, and doodled in his journals. In observance of his bicentennial we're sharpening our observational skills. Professional illustrator and Newburyport Art Association instructor Susan Spellman gets you started drawing natural forms and objects. This lesson is for absolute beginners or people with some experience. There will be a brief lesson and then you'll try your hand at different workstations, all sketching materials will be provided. Seating is limited to 15, registration is required. Free and open to the public, funded by the Friends. For teens ages 13+ and adults of every age. You've never truly seen an object until you draw it.
