Carving with hand tools in soapstone and alabaster is a wonderful creative process that anyone can master. With instructor Barbara Tam, we will create abstract forms, small figurines, pocket stones, and amulets. No experience with stone is necessary. Stone, all tools, and jewelry findings are provided. Come try a new art process and take home some beautiful work. 

For kids ages 9 to 15. Classes at the Keene Valley Library on Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. $15 total for materials. Minimum 6, maximum 12 students.
