Despite advancements in prevention, sudden cardiac arrest remains a leading cause of death in the United States. Pepperell Fire Department is offering the American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR course to the community. After completing the program, you should be able to recognize the signs that someone is in need of CPR, activate the emergency medical system, perform high-quality CPR, demonstrate the proper use of an automated external defibrillator(AED)and perform the technique of opening an obstructed airway. With the knowledge and skills you learn, your actions should give a victim the best chance of survival.
Duration 2-2 1/2 hrs
Cost: $30 - certification with the American Heart Association.
