It’s bulb planting season. Enticing pictures of tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths beckon from the pages of bulb catalogs. Which to choose? What bulbs will flower year after year? Garden experts, Ila Cox, and Betsy Williams, will help you learn which bulbs will be reliable repeat bloomers in your garden, and how to nurture them.They will discuss species tulips, alliums, old fashioned daffodils and other sturdy, colorful additions to your spring garden.
Ila Cox is a plant lover, gardener, garden traveler and student of plant and garden history. She lectures on flower arranging, and horticultural topics.
Andover resident, Betsy Williams, is a life long gardener, herb grower and cook. She trained as a florist in Boston and England, and combines her floral, gardening and cooking skills with an extensive knowledge of history, plant lore and seasonal celebrations. An entertaining lecturer, she weaves stories and legends throughout her informative talks and demonstrations.
