Description: Resorative practices cultivate a culture in which everyone feels like they belong. They build a particular sense of community in which every member - students, teachers, parent volunteers, aides - feel that they are seen, heard, and respected. Restorative Justice is a practice that can improve school culture and strengthen SEL skills beginning at the Tier 1 Level. This workshop will teach educators the origin and practice of Circles for the purpose of improving student communication skills, relationship skills, and emotional and social skills.
Audience: 6-12 Educators, Counselors, School Psychologists, Administrators.
Registration fee: $99 NRC member districts. $109 other districts. Participants receive workshop materials/resources.
Hours/PDPs: 6 hours.
