Come learn new ways to use the tools in Google Suite!
Description: Are you a comfortable Google user and wonder if there are more efficient ways to use it? This full-day session is designed to help Google users find new ways to use the various tools within the Google Suite. Participants will become more effective Google users, and will leave with ideas to use in their classrooms.
We will:
- Explore different Google Chrome extensions like screencasting, text-to-speech, mark-up tools, and a dictionary.
- Look at the different Add-ons for Google Docs like different fonts, change text, rubric maker and foreign language fonts.
- Explore interesting alternative uses for Google Sheets and Google Slides
- Creating Google Forms that are automatically graded
- Learn efficient ways to use Google Drive, Gmail, Contacts and Calendar
- Look at the apps Google Keep and Google Hangout
- Explore new apps that work with Google: Pear Deck and VideoNot.es
BYOD: Participants should bring a laptop computer (not an iPad or tablet) to access wireless at NRCC.
Target Audience: Teachers (Grades 3-12), Technology Specialists, and Administrators who are Google users.

Wendy is the retired Director of Technology and Libraries from the Falmouth Public Schools after 34 years in education. Her first 15 years were spent teaching computer science at Dartmouth High School. In addition to her career in education, she has also served on the MassCUE Board and is the immediate past president.
