This time of the year we often find ourselves overwhelmed with lists of “presents to buy, things to be done and places to go.” The hustle and bustle of this season can be daunting. On that note please join us at The Shirley Meeting House on Sunday, December 6^th for the 12th Annual Candlelight Vespers Concert. This year’s program, Sing We Now of Christmas, is devoted to the music, stories and poems of the season that  give you a moment to pause and reflect the true meaning of peace and friendship it offers us all.

The doors will open at 6:00 pm and as you enter you will hear traditional carols arranged for a string trio featuring Paul Przybyla, violin, Claire Arakaki, viola and Kimball Murray, cello.

The Vespers program begins at 6:30 pm. The Meeting House Chorale will under the director of Bernard Crane and accompanied by Silva Bota. The musical selections are a varied with both the familiar and unfamiliar music of the season and you will also be invited to lift your voice in song. The program will also feature the Ayer/Shirley Middle School Chorus under the director of Marianne Cooper, flutist, Laura Finkelstein and percussionist Peter Elwyn.

After the program you are invited to the Center Town Hall for cider, dessert and time with good friends and family.
