Scituate Rotary's Uganda Water Project: Help Us Today with Crafts for Ugandan Families
Saturday November 18, 2017
1:00 PM until 4:00 PM
The Scituate Rotary Club has received a grant to help with drilling a well in Uganda so families can have access to free, clean water.
Today local artist, Nancy Sargent Howell, and one of her students, will help both adults and youth with painting or drawing colorful cards which will be delivered to Ugandan families in February. The cards will be a beautiful gift and provide a cheerful note to the families when they move out of the slums into simple hand-made brick homes where the well will be drilled.
Craft supplies will be provided, or feel free to bring any of your own.
We will also be collecting toothbrushes (adults & youth) and lightweight washcloths (no white please; lightweight so they dry quickly) today, which will also be delivered with the cards.
Youth and adults are welcome to participate!
Location: Community Room
