Spring is here and it is time to think about your vegetable garden. Join Mark Ramsay of the L.E.A.F. (the Lewis Educational Agriculture Farm) at the Southington Public Library, Monday, April 10th when he discusses the agricultural farming practices that you as a backyard gardener can implement for your garden.
Mark will discuss the farm’s practice of "improving soil quality is one of the most important goals in a sustainable farming system, which in turn leads to a productive agricultural landscape. Hear how you can implement many of the same simple practices for your home garden, composting, crop rotation and pest control."

Ramsay with the help of some good forward thinking people in Southington formed the L.E.A.F. (the Lewis Educational Agriculture Farm). Mark will be at the Southington Public Library, Monday, April 10th to discuss agricultural farming practices that are socially and ecologically beneficial while connecting learning through hands-on education.
