Sleep, and Common Problems Many Encounter

Do you have problems sleeping? Sleep disorders affect approximately 40 million Americans - of those, only five percent of individuals are ever diagnosed and treated.
Some of the symptoms of sleep disorders include:
- Excessive daytime sleepiness
- Low energy, to the point of being too tired to exercise
- Poor concentration
- Problems falling asleep & staying asleep
- Mood changes
- Low sex drive
Restful sleep is essential for good health. Most sleep disturbances can be treated, and the first step may be a sleep study. There will also be discussion of the usage of a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine.
Nancy Cosgrove will be the presenter. She is a Registered Respiratory Therapists and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist currently working at the Bristol Hospital Sleep Center.
