Blackout Poetry (Ages 13-18)
Tuesday April 11, 2017
6:00 PM until 7:00 PM
Celebrate National Poetry Month and National Library Week by creating your own poems through the art of subtraction.
Blackout Poetry is an easy, creative way for to express yourself. Teens in grades 7-12 are welcome to join us for this fun and creative program! Participants will be provided with markers and book pages and will be encouraged to create a poem from the words on the page, blacking out the rest of the words so only the chosen ones are visible. Not a fan of black? “Black out” the text with colors, patterns and pictures. The only limit is your imagination!
Does this sound like fun to you? Register below! You can also register by talking to a library staff member in person, or by calling us at 781-834-5535. Hope to see you there!!
