Students in grades 5 and up with or without their adults are invited to have fun doing yoga at the library! Yoga is both a physical and cognitive activity that develops strength, balance, flexibility and improves focus and concentration. Teen Yoga involves moving in ways that everyone can benefit from, breathing with techniques that build healthy bodies and clear minds, resting with guided relaxation that promotes calmness and wellness. Positions are modified and adapted to suit individual's abilities. Sally Barber of the Westfield Yoga Center will be teaching these classes.
Registration for is required and begins February 21st.
Teen Yoga is made possible by a grant from the Westfield Cultural Council.
