A six-class session of Tai Chi will be offered in the library on Wednesday evenings on February 22, March 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29. The class will be geared towards beginners and returning students with some experience.
Classes are taught by local Tai Chi instructor Jimmy Lee, who has studied Tai Chi Chuan since 1983 and has been teaching since 2004. He is a formal disciple of Zhang Yun, who was personally trained by Wang Pei Sheng.
The classes are scheduled for Wednesday evenings and will be held in the Ellen Gambatese Room (the Octagonal Program room in the Children's Department) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The cost of the six week session will be $60.00 and payment is due at the time of registration. Students must register for the entire six weeks; no refunds will be given once the class begins. Pre-registration before February 22 is required. Checks and money orders made payable to "The Friends of the South Brunswick Library" will be accepted. We are sorry, but cash is no longer accepted. Sign up now at the Information Desk in the library; space is limited. A minimum of four students required for the class to be offered.
Like our popular Yoga program, payment for these classes is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Library who sponsor programming for adults, teens and children here at the library.
