In December, we will be transforming a wooden cigar box into a treasure box for things like jewelry, sewing supplies, keys, photographs, momentos, buttons - whatever you want! You can even make a small travel backgammon set. You can decorate the outside and in with whatever catches your eye. We will have the box and suggestions and materials for you to create something fun for yourself or to give as a gift. If you have favorite embellisments that you might want to use to dress up the box or fabrics that you like to line the box, bring them along!
In 2017, the Adult Crafternoon program will continue on the first Wednesday afternoon every month from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in Program Room 1A/1B. We will continue to do a variety of craft projects using recycled materials, whenever possible, that we are going to repurpose (or up-cycle) into Eco-Friendly objects and gifts. The specific projects will be posted in this calendar and a list of items we will be using will be available so that participants can contribute some of the materials.
Registration is required so that enough materials can be prepared for each student. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes early so that the class can begin on time. So as not to disrupt the flow of the lesson, latecomers will not be admitted once the class has begun. Children will not be allowed in the classroom.
Come to the library for a fun afternoon of creativity and conversation!
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the South Brunswick Public Library.
