This is a preschool storytime for four year olds during the first six week winter session. Registration will start on Tuesday, December 5th and is required to attend. More Information: The class meets in the lower level of the library. Please bring your own supplies: Acrylic Paint (palette should have air tight caps and stored in freezer between painting sessions) in the following hues: Yellow Ochre Cadmium Yellow Pale Cadmium Red Medium Alizarin Crimson Ultramarine Blue Thalo Blue (Phthalocyanine); White Black Brush/es of one’s choosing (Round brush should have a sharp point when wet, flat brush should have a sharp edge); Painting support/surface (Canvasette/illustration board/cardboard); Mixing surface (plastic plate); Water cup; Rags/paper towels.

Do you have concerns about falling?

A Matter of Balance is an award winning program designed to teach people how to: view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals for increasing activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors and exercise to increase strength and balance. The program benefits older adults who are concerned about falls, have fallen in the past, restrict their activities because of concerns about falling, are interested in improving flexibility, balance & strength, and are age 60 or older, active & able to problem-solve.

Presented by the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association. This workshop series will take place on Fridays, January 13 - March 2 (8 meetings) from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

INTRODUCTION TO FLY TYING

Instructors Jim Norton & Dick Peterson; licensed NH Fishing Guides will present an introduction to fly tying. The class will cover the tools, materials, threads and hooks required for fly tying. This is a hands-on session covering the basic steps, and a full fly tying session with nymph, wet fly, streamer and dry fly samples.

There is a $10.00 registration fee (to cover the cost of materials & handouts). Space is limited, please register online or by speaking with a library staff member.

The class is designed for adults; however children over twelve may attend if accompanied by an adult.

All tools and materials will be provided; participants are welcome to bring their own tools if they have them.
